The world runs on caffeine. No, really. Consider this: We depend on technology. Without it, the modern world would come to a standstill. Technology is nothing without people. People that keep techology working for us, affectionately known as "geeks". Geeks (most of us will agree) run on caffeine. So, the world (as we know it) runs on caffeine!

Coffee is the world's most popular beverage, not because of its amazing culture, but because of conversation. "Having coffee" usually causes meetings, discussion, collaboration, social interaction, and often great ideas. Come have some of your own while learning to make your own cold water coffee dripper.

Introducing the Caffeinator: a gravity-powered cold water coffee dripper. Through this workshop, we'll talk about coffee and learn how to make the Caffeinator, made of upcycled household items that you can take home with you. And we may 'accidentally' create the most dangerous of consequences: "great ideas".

"We believe in the values of mastery, creativity and collective empowerment that craftsmanship brings to everyone - young and old alike. Being a part of BettrWeek helps us nurture more makers of change who are hands-on and thoughtful - one heart at a time."

Founded in 2011, Sustainable Living Lab (SL2) is a technology-driven social enterprise, and also the innovation arm of Ground-Up Initiative. We believe in rethinking the way we make things. Many issues such as Poverty, social marginalization and environmental degradation have their roots in the way our economic system of production is managed.

True change, ultimately lies in education and through our courses on practical innovation, entrepreneurship and humanitarian design, we have nurtured a growing community of inventors, makers and craftsmen from all walks of life who in their own ways lead the changing in rethinking the way things are made.
